Like a lot of people, we received our iPad minis in the office today. A lot of customers have been asking when or if we are planning on releasing a case for the iPad mini. In short, yes, we are.
But, it's a tad bit more complicated than that.

The tablet wars are really beginning to heat up with the launch of the Kindle Fire HD.
At a $499 price point, the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" 4G features Dolby audio with dual stereo speakers and a $49.99 annual data package, so that users can take full advantage of the built-in 4G capability for faster browsing.
Amazon describes the smaller tablet as being “the world’s most advanced 7” tablet.” Debatable as that claim may be, the $199 price point will alleviate any buyer that second-guesses Amazon’s claims.

As expected, Apple's new iPhone 5 has all the features I talked about in my previous blog (well, besides near field communication).
Personally, I'm super excited about its release, as I need to upgrade my phone. Pre-orders for the iPhone 5 go live this Friday—September 14, with its official release on September 21.
Prices and storage size remain unchanged from last year; 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB at $199, $299, and $399 respectively.
For iPhone owners who are not upgrading, the iOS 6 update goes live on Friday, so be sure to remember to update your phone's OS!

Reports are suggesting that Amazon is gearing up to announce new versions of their popular eReader, the Kindle, alongside a new version of the Kindle Fire.
As an avid user of my now two-year old Kindle Keyboard, the thought of a more refined, faster, and smaller Kindle has me excited. Of all the eReaders on the market, I've found that Amazon's Kindle is the best thing that one can buy for book-reading purposes. It's responsive, has a great selection of books, and does its "I'm only for reading!" job very well.

So you've picked up your case from Maroo and your iPad is now indestructible. Well, don't try to break it, but it will definitely keep it safe from physical harm. But what about keeping the rest of your iPad safe? A case won't protect your data from someone stealing it or trying to hack in, unfortunately.
As far as hacking goes, you're in luck. The iPad has very effective security measures built in, so there's no need for an anti-virus or similar software. However, iPads can be pretty easy to steal. They're much smaller than a laptop and if you take yours with you everywhere like I do, you might just find yourself forgetting it somewhere.

There's a new iPhone coming. Obviously. It happens every year—Apple releases a newer iteration of their popular iPhone. But why should you be excited?
As we approach the back half of the year, the rumors for this year's iPhone model have been running rampant. The past has shown us that Apple follows a "revolution then evolution" release schedule with their iOS devices.
For instance, a year after the iPhone 3G was released, Apple announced the iPhone 3GS. The 3GS had only minor upgrades compared to the 3G; it was an evolution of the popular 3G. Then a year later, Apple changed the game again by revolutionizing the smartphone experience when introducing the iPhone 4. Last year, the 4 evolved into the 4S. See the pattern?
So here we are, 2012. In just a few months (shoot, maybe even one month), Apple will most likely set the smartphone market afire with the introduction of their next iPhone. Will it be called the iPhone 5? Probably not. Again, with Apple, history has a very good chance at repeating itself. Was the new iPad called the iPad 3? Technically, it's not. It's just called the new iPad.
So, let's take a look at the rumors surrounding the new iPhone.

No, it's not iPad 3. No, it's not iPad HD. Today, Apple announced their next-generation tablet as simply the new iPad.

The moment everyone has been anticipating is only one week away!
March 7th looks to be the date that Apple reveals everything about iPad 3. If all the rumors are true, then our current line of cases should fit perfectly with the new iPad.
Over the next few months, we'll be releasing new designs that maneuver Maroo culture into an entirely different direction. If that isn't enough to get you excited, we're also going to be producing iPhone 4/4S cases.

Once again, the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) has come and gone. While we didn't have a booth on the floor, Maroo was still on-hand at the show. I really enjoyed CES this year, as there were a ton of cool iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and tablet case makers vying for my attention.
Veteran case-making companies like Griffin, iLuv, Incipio and Case-mate were among the most popular booths, and all four of them had some staggeringly impressive case designs.
